Tip 1 Use crisp white bed linen…I’d suggest good quality Egyptian cotton. I usually opt for 4 oxford style pillows to create an opulent look. I would then stack them…this creates height and leaves sufficient room for adding additional scatter cushions in front.
Tip 2 For extra luxury you could opt for an oversized duvet, I often go for a size bigger than my actual bed to ensure it falls nicely (plus it ends the fight over the duvet !!) …for a tailored look you can also tuck your duvet under the mattress
Tip 3 Suggest a bed end bench or sofa for additional seating
Tip 4 Add some scatter cushions and a throw…take into account your rooms colour scheme and use different textures and patterns to create interest. Smaller cushions to the front.
There are a few different options on how to place the throw:- …At the end of the bed falling to floor level
…At the end of the bed and tucked under the mattress
…Folded in half and sitting at bottom of bed or half way down the bed
Tip 5 If opting for an upholstered headboard consider a matching valance sheet to ground the scheme. Otherwise you can use a white valance sheet to complement your bed linen.
